Resolve tiles bursting problem with solution or prevention method

In some cases, tiles may not be cracking but popping up due to poor flooring with porous underneath tiles. The humidity which is accumulated underneath tiles is caused from applying traditional mortar in thick lumps that makes high possibility of tile shrinkage.

Solution to popping up tile is just remove cracked and bulging tiles from the floors. If the concrete is not cracking, do not worry about the damage to the house structure. In order to have a long-term prevention, it is recommended to use weber.tile flex, a tile adhesive, which is flexible and resistant to all weather conditions to repair damaged floor tiles.

3. Substrate's expansion and contraction

Woods and cement-fiber boards expand and contract with changes in ambient-temperature at a different rate to adhesive, grout and ceramic tiles. If the adhesive is not able to absorb the expansion and the contraction, the crack in adhesive layer can happen and then the tiles will delaminate. Flexible adhesive together with appropriate primer must then be considered to use for this case.
